I am more so known as grazedpoem, the brand representing myself, on social media platforms. There are multiple layers to grazedpoem: I am an Illustrator, Creator, Graphic Designer and Streamer. Through grazedpoem, I aspire to spread good vibes and good reminders through my illustrations, streams, and work in general. The core message of my brand is encouraging self-expression, supporting others, and to constantly reflect on ourselves to be better artists and people of society.
Streamer persona
I started streaming just as a means to pass time after graduating. 6 years later, I've met amazing individuals - creators, artists and art enjoyers alike - through streaming and networking on Twitch, YouTube and TikTok. I saw the potential in streaming as a means to create safe, expressive spaces for others to share their creative work - spreading love for creative expression and seeking feedback if needed - amongst other art enjoyers. This in turn has resulted in the creation of the 'Floral Friends' Discord server.
There were multiple considerations prior to the creation of the server and it includes
- Regulating messages and media sent in the server; enforcing trigger and content warnings for sensitive
- Establishing a clear no-nonsense set of rules and regulations that puts respect and kindness at the top of every interaction
- Keeping community members safe from harm; spam bots and scams

Milestones such as hitting a follower goal, or subscriber goal or birthday parties or September subathons are often celebrated on streams. I organise these events based on feedback given by my community members, usually asked while live streaming, in stories on Instagram, polls on announcements and/or Google Forms to gather interest posted in the Discord server. It is important to me to be as inclusive and open as possible while gathering feedback while organising these big events.
I also conduct raffles and giveaways for illustrations for server members first on my Discord server, before releasing them as 'your character here' (YCH) commissions on my Kofi/Buymeacoffee page. I recognise that my members also includes other streamers who might need assets for their media library to be used for stream, event posters and other related things, so organising raffles allow for them to use those assets if they get picked, and in turn, spread good word about my work when they use those assets.
Also, illustrating my community members for the various YCH commissions allows for a proper sample that can be shown on the official posters when posted to my Kofi/Buymeacoffee page.
It is also extremely cute to see matching profile pictures of my community members on Discord!

Events hosted throughout the years were successfully conducted through eye-catching promotional posters. I pride myself in designing posters to promote events I'm hosting to gather community members together for good vibes :)

My work as an illustrator simplifies to two categories: cute animals and pretty girls. I love designing and creating animal characters, and that can be seen especially in my calendar illustrations and four-panel comics.

Reflections
6 years of streaming and creating this wonderful, supportive community filled with amazing and inspiring people has made a huge impact on the way I think as an artist and person. There are multiple hats to wear while managing a community, being a creator and organising events for the community, that does not limit to simply being a community manager and artist, but also extends to being able to resolve conflict, scheduling (and abiding to the schedule), copywriting, and moderating messages and media.
As with the other work I've done, I am genuinely honoured to be part of this wonderful community I've created, and I'll constantly do my best to provide the best for my members.
