Kindnessence is a Twitch Affiliate who advocates for kindness and suicide prevention. She provides a welcoming space on her stream for her community to unwind after a long day while she does her cross-stitching with fun music, or while hosting Halo nights on weekends.
Logo and branding kit
She approached me to create her logo that captures her brand and message. I was inspired by her warm energy and message and designed the 'Kindnessence' branding kit.
'We Built a Friendship' merch line
This merch line is inspired by Alec Benjamin (kindnessence's favourite artist)'s song 'Hammers'. Here is an excerpt from kindnessence:
i wanted to represent the song "i built a friend" in some way for my first official merch drop because of how special it is to me. yeah, it's how i discovered his (alec's) music; but it's also special because of what the song is about. i advocate for kindness as well as suicide prevention. this originated because of the lives lost from bullying. even though the robot wasn't bullied, he was still left alone. kindness is much more than just not being mean to others. it is also inclusivity.
on my insta, you can find a highlight titled "wbaf", which is a project i started where those who got this merch line from me, i share the story of how we became friends, built said friendship. it's honestly been really cool and quite wholesome!
Emotes for her Twitch and Discord community
Emotes are an integral part of a Twitch and Discord community as it allows the members to express themselves through expressive images. Kindnessence streams with a PNGtuber character that represents her, hence, her emotes are of her character too.
The same colour palette and elements were used across all emotes, save for a few with different hairstyles and exaggerated expressions. Despite the differences in the different emotions, the emote set as a whole is cohesive and clearly shows it belongs to one brand.
